Your host
Kavya is the heart behind Red Bricks Homestay. With a love for rustic architecture, traditional spaces, and the simple charm of countryside living, she envisioned a stay that felt different from the usual modern accommodations. She personally brought the idea to life by sourcing the distinctive red bricks, traditional materials, and earthy elements that give the property its unique character. Her aim was to recreate the warmth and nostalgia of an old-world home while offering guests a comfortable place to slow down and enjoy the beauty of Chikkamagaluru. For Kavya, hosting is more than simply welcoming guests — she genuinely enjoys meeting new people, sharing the local way of life, and making guests feel at home. She especially loves cooking and is always happy to prepare delicious homemade food and share a taste of the region with her guests. Whether you want recommendations for exploring the surrounding coffee plantations and countryside, a warm conversation over a cup of coffee, or simply a peaceful place to unwind, Kavya is always happy to help. Come as a guest, leave feeling like part of the family.

A host, met in person and part of our curated circle of stays in Chikmagalur.

Devaramane is one of the most peaceful places I've visited near Chikmagalur. The thick mist covering the trail made it feel like we were literally walking through the clouds. The weather, greenery, and scenic views make it a perfect spot for a short trek and photography. A must-visit for anyone who loves nature and offbeat destinations.

Mullayanagiri is the highest peak in Karnataka, India. Standing at 1,930 meters (6,330 feet) in the Western Ghats' Chandra Dhrona hill ranges near Chikmagalur, it features a Shiva temple at the summit, panoramic views, and a popular 3 km trekking trail.Current weather at Chikkamagaluru shows light afternoon rain and temperatures around 22°C to 24°C, meaning trails can be misty, damp, and windy
